Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is hiring a Residential Driver in Texas to perform curbside and backdoor waste collection with safety and courtesy. You will operate residential/recycling trucks, load waste, and ensure timely service on your route.

The role requires a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), a high school diploma or GED, and at least one year of driving experience. You will complete pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate records while upholding company safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Ability to meet safety-sensitive criteria per company standards.
• Ability to safely drive the truck and operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection truck and equipment on route.
• Load solid waste and recyclables into the vehicle and operate compaction equipment.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip safety checks and reports.
• Maintain route quality and communicate vehicle issues to supervisor.
• Follow safety policies and wear PPE at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and assist with route efficiency.
