FedEx Freight in Wisconsin is seeking a professional Class A CDL driver to pick up and deliver freight between service centers and customers, supporting the sales process. The starting pay is $32.20 per hour, with hourly overtime in a safety‑conscious environment.

You will perform pre‑trip inspections, handle freight, document transactions, comply with DOT regulations, and seek additional business opportunities while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with double/triple and hazmat endorsements required.
• 1 year experience in the last 3 years or successful completion of the Driver Development Course.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) per hiring standards.
• DOT/FMCSA 391 regulatory requirements compliance.
• Ability to count and perform basic math.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Lifting up to 100 pounds multiple times per week.
• Ability to sit, bend, twist, and climb in/out of a truck.

Responsabilités

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles/triples when applicable.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies as required.
• Handle freight using forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps, and rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Complete required documentation and reports accurately.
• Comply with hazardous material regulations and procedures.
• Collect freight charges and maintain payment documentation as needed.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays or issues.
• Communicate with customers to determine pickup/delivery needs and solicit additional business.
• Demonstrate internal and external customer service; provide leads to sales.
• May perform chaining of tires; may perform road/dock duties if required.
• Adhere to all laws, company policies, and procedures; perform other duties as assigned.
