Job summary

FedEx Freight in Wisconsin is hiring a Driver/Carrier to pick up and deliver freight between service centers and customers. You will operate tractor-trailer combinations, perform daily inspections, secure cargo, and assist with the selling process by gathering leads for new opportunities.

Applicants must hold a valid CDL A with hazmat and tank endorsements, have up to one year of recent driving experience or completed FedEx training, and meet DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements.
• At least 1 year driver experience in the past 3 years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) per hiring standards.
• Must meet DOT FMC regulatory requirements.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 100 pounds repeatedly.
• Strong safety mindset and basic math/communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations including doubles/triples where allowed.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and convert dollies.
• Handle freight with pallet jacks, forklifts and related equipment.
• Document and report required information; communicate with dispatch.
• Provide customer service and seek additional business leads.
• Adhere to DOT regulations and company policies.
