Job summary

FedEx Freight in Wisconsin Oak Creek is hiring a Driver to pick up and deliver freight between Service Centers and customers and support the selling process. Starting rate of pay $32.20 per hour, with overtime potential and benefits.

This role requires operating tractor-trailer combinations, performing pre-trip inspections, securing freight, and maintaining required documentation. You’ll work with dispatch, seek additional business opportunities, and comply with DOT regulations and safety

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat, and tank endorsements.
• One year of driving experience in the last three years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Clean MVR meeting hiring standards.
• Meets DOT regulatory requirements under 49 CFR part 383/391.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and basic math skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer and doubles/triples where allowed.
• Conduct daily pre-trip inspections and safety checks.
• Hook/unhook trailers and handle freight loading/unloading.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps and rope.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Communicate with dispatch about delays, arrivals, or issues.
• Solicit additional business from customers and pass leads to sales.
• Follow safety procedures and DOT regulations.
