Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License at the appropriate level to operate motorized equipment.
• Formal arithmetic ability including addition, subtraction, decimals, percentages and fractions; ability to read, write and speak common English vocabulary.
• 3 months training or 3 months experience in operating basic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on maintenance of traffic and flagging.
• Highway maintenance and repair activities (pothole patching, spread berm, repair guardrails, crack seal, litter pick-up, drainage, vegetation management).
• Operation of heavy equipment (dump truck, loader) and hand tools (chainsaw).
• Perform snow and ice operations.
