Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a CDL truck driver to operate a tractor-trailer on assigned routes, collecting solid waste and recyclables with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid CDL, and at least 1 year of driving experience (or CDL school). Benefits include comprehensive medical plans, an employer match 401(k), and a sign-on bonus of $2,000.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• At least 1 year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Ability to meet safety-sensitive criteria.
• Ability to safely drive the truck and operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer truck and hydraulic systems on assigned route to collect solid waste and/or recyclables.
• Ensure loads are secured and tarp is closed; verify no loose trash.
• Dump loads and report trailer number and net weight to CSR.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and daily truck reports.
• Report mechanical problems to supervisor immediately.
• Maintain route quality as directed by management.
• Follow safety standards and company policies; wear PPE.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform overtime as required.
