Job summary

GFL Environmental is seeking a Tractor-Trailer Driver to operate a tractor-trailer on an assigned route, collecting solid waste and recyclables safely and efficiently. A $2,000 sign-on bonus and a pay rate of $24/hour are offered, with comprehensive benefits and PTO.

The role requires a valid CDL (Class A), at least one year of commercial driving experience or CDL training, and the ability to meet safety-sensitive criteria.

Qualifications

• CDL license and clean driving record required.
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Must meet safety-sensitive criteria per company standards.
• Ability to operate tractor-trailer safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer on assigned route to collect solid waste and/or recyclables.
• Ensure loads are secured and tarp closed; verify no loose trash.
• Dump loads and record trailer number and net weight.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and daily reports.
• Communicate mechanical issues to supervisor and maintain route quality.
