Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a commercial driver to operate a tractor-trailer on a designated waste collection route. You will secure loads, perform dumping, and complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections while maintaining accurate route documentation.

You will report any vehicle issues to the supervisor, follow safety standards, and strive for route efficiency. A CDL and 1+ year of driving experience are required, with high school diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Must meet safety-sensitive function criteria per company standards.
• Ability to safely drive the truck and operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer truck on assigned route to collect solid waste and/or recyclables.
• Ensure loads are secured and tarps are properly closed.
• Dump loads so trailer is emptied and report net weight.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and required documentation.
• Report mechanical problems immediately to supervisor or mechanic.
• Maintain route quality and adhere to safety policies.
