Job summary

GFL Environmental is seeking a Commercial Frontload Driver to safely collect solid waste and recyclables on designated routes, operating frontload and ancillary equipment. You will drive, inspect, and report on vehicle condition while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires CDL, 1+ year of driving experience or CDL school, and adherence to DOT/OSHA/FMC/ EPA standards, in a safe, outdoor, high-traffic working environment. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

Possess valid CDL and meet safety-sensitive criteria.
Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
Ability to drive and operate frontload/ancillary equipment safely.
Capable of maintaining DOT logs and vehicle inspections.

Responsibilities

Drive commercial frontload or ancillary equipment along routes to collect waste.
Open can enclosures and position cans for dumping as needed.
Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete reports.
Interact courteously with customers and notify supervisor of issues.
Maintain cleanliness around truck and site; manage spills safely.
Submit DOT logs, route productivity sheets, and post-trip reports as required.
Maneuver truck in tight spaces using mirrors and GPS for addresses.
Follow safety procedures and lockout/tagout as required.
Monitor for debris and ensure compliance with DOT/OSHA/FMCSA/EPA standards.
