Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver - CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and provide prompt, courteous waste removal services. You will ensure vehicle safety and compliance with all safety standards, and complete daily vehicle condition reports to address any defects.

The role emphasizes on-time service, courteous customer interactions, adherence to routes, and participation in safety programs to maintain high service levels and safety performance.

Qualifications

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement.
• Good customer services skills to meet and exceed customer expectations; acts in a professional, courteous and cooperative manner toward customers and co-workers.
• Good time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient and safe manner.
• Good follow through ability; adheres to work schedule and follows through on challenges as they arise.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure safety and readiness.
• Safely operate the truck along designated routes and service each customer as identified.
• Operate control equipment to load refuse and dispose of materials at the designated facility.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and others on a daily basis.
• Maintain required productivity standards and complete required reports and VCRs.
• Follow all safety policies and participate in the company’s ReSOP program.
