Job summary

Ridout Lumber and Meek’s is seeking a CDL Driver I to transport materials to job sites and other locations. This role requires a Class A or B license, pre/post-trip inspections, DOT logkeeping, and safe loading/unloading of lumber and materials.

You will deliver to active construction sites and finished locations, with possible city-based and interstate travel. Excellent customer service and accurate documentation are essential to ensure customer satisfaction at delivery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Basic CDL experience with flat beds and/or tractor trailers is required.
• 1–2 years CDL experience preferred.
• Experience transporting and handling lumber and building materials is required.

Responsibilities

• Operates Class A or B commercial vehicles in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner.
• Delivers to active construction sites and completed locations; city-based and interstate travel may be required.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections for safety and compliance.
• Provides professional customer service and relays messages from customers on site.
• Organizes and secures loads; verifies orders before departure and on delivery.
