Job summary

Ridout Lumber and Meek’s, divisions of US LBM Holdings, LLC, is seeking a CDL Driver I to transport materials to job sites and prepare deliveries with a focus on safety and customer service.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, manage logs, and assist in loading and unloading while adhering to DOT regulations and hours-of-service rules. Interact professionally with customers and teammates on every route.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic CDL experience with flat beds and/or tractor trailers.
• 1-2 years CDL experience preferred.
• Experience transporting and handling lumber and building materials required.

Responsibilities

• Operates Class A or B commercial vehicles in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner.
• Deliveries to active construction sites and completed locations; city-based and inter-state travel may be required.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections for safety and compliance.
• Provide professional customer service and relay messages from customers on job sites.
• Organize and secure loads; verify orders before departure and on delivery.
• Adhere to DOT regulations and hours-of-service requirements; maintain logs.
• Deliver and unload materials; ensure customer satisfaction at delivery point.
• Record merchandise returns and assist in unloading for credit; proper documentation.
• Operate truck-mounted forklift safely to load/unload and move materials.
• Keep truck clean and well-maintained; assist with stocking in warehouse.
• Assist with inventory organization in warehouse/production areas.
