Job summary

Ridout Lumber and Meek’s, divisions of US LBM Holdings, LLC, seeks a CDL Driver I to safely transport building materials to job sites across Missouri and beyond. You will inspect vehicles, maintain logs, and ensure accurate loading and delivery.

The role emphasizes customer service, safety, and compliance with DOT regulations, with opportunities for growth within US LBM’s network and cross-market assignments.

Qualifications

• CDL experience with flat beds and/or tractor trailers.
• 1-2 years CDL experience preferred.
• Experience transporting and handling lumber and building materials.

Responsibilities

• Operates Class A or B commercial vehicles in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner.
• Deliveries to active construction sites and completed build locations; city-based deliveries and inter-state travel may be required.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections to ensure vehicle safety and regulatory compliance.
• Provides exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional demeanor and relaying messages from customers on site.
• Organizes and secures loads and verifies orders for accuracy before departure and on delivery.
• Maintains DOT-compliant logs of driving hours, on-duty time, and rest periods.
• Delivers and unloads materials safely and ensures customer satisfaction at delivery.
• Records returned merchandise and assists in unloading for credit with proper documentation.
• Safely operates a truck-mounted forklift to load/unload materials.
• Keeps the truck clean and organized for operation.
• Assist with stocking and organizing inventory in warehouse and production areas.
