Job summary

Ritter Lumber is seeking a CDL Class A/B Driver to transport lumber, millwork, and building materials. You will work with the Operations team to ensure safe, on-time deliveries and maintain compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations.

Responsibilities include load securement, forklift assistance, and accurate documentation. This role emphasizes safety, customer service, and teamwork with dispatch and warehouse staff.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A or B license required.
• Experience operating commercial vehicles and moffetts preferred.
• Strong safety awareness and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed procedures.
• Familiarity with DOT and FMCSA regulations and cargo securement.
• Physical ability to lift/move heavy materials and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL Class A or B vehicles to deliver lumber and building materials.
• Secure loads using straps and FMCSA guidelines.
• Assist with loading/unloading using forklifts.
• Adhere to DOT/FMCSA regulations and maintain CDL credentials.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report issues.
• Maintain delivery logs and required paperwork; submit on time.
• Represent the company professionally at job sites and with customers.
• Coordinate with dispatch, warehouse, and yard teams to keep schedules.
