Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a CDL Driver for residential waste removal in Bloomington, IL. The driver will safely operate a residential/recycling truck on curbside and backdoor routes, load waste and recyclables, and transport them to facilities.

The role demands adherence to safety procedures and professional customer interaction throughout daily routes. Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, reporting, route efficiency, and teamwork with assigned helpers.

Qualifications

• CDL is required; minimum one year of commercial driving experience or a CDL school certificate.
• Must meet safety-sensitive criteria as per company standards.
• Ability to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment on routes.

Responsibilities

• Operate a residential/recycling collection truck and related equipment on assigned routes.
• Load solid waste/recyclables into the vehicle and ensure proper disposal.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain daily reports.
• Communicate mechanical issues to supervisor and maintain route quality.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and interact professionally with customers.
