Job summary

GFL is seeking a dedicated Residential Driver to provide safe and courteous waste removal services on curbside and backdoor routes. You will operate a residential/recycling collection truck, load waste and recyclables, and ensure proper compaction and route accuracy.

The role requires CDL or valid CDL training, with at least one year of commercial driving experience. Candidates must pass safety inspections, adhere to all regulations, and maintain a professional demeanor while on route.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience OR CDL school certificate.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection truck on assigned route.
• Load waste/recyclables into the vehicle and operate compaction equipment.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete reports.
• Communicate vehicle issues to supervisor and mechanics.
• Maintain route quality and safety standards.
• Attend safety meetings and follow company policies.
