Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Residential Driver to safely and efficiently collect solid waste and recyclables on curbside or backdoor routes.

You will operate a rear- or side-load truck, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and maintain accurate service records. The role requires a CDL, at least one year of commercial driving experience (or CDL school), and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED desired.
• Must possess a Commercial Driver's License.
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.

Responsibilities

• Operate a residential/recycling collection truck to collect solid waste and/or recyclables on assigned route.
• Load waste, yard waste, and recyclables into the truck and operate equipment to compact waste.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete necessary reports.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report mechanical issues to supervisor promptly.
• Communicate routing needs and safety considerations to the supervisor.
