Job summary

GFL is seeking a Front-End Driver in Clinton, IL to operate front-end trucks on multi-family residential and commercial routes, collecting waste and recyclables and transferring loads to designated facilities.

The role requires a CDL and at least one year of truck driving experience or completion of CDL school; expect daily route work, safety inspections, and strong customer interactions.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
• One year of commercial truck driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Ability to meet safety-sensitive criteria and operate the truck safely.

Responsibilities

• Drive front-load or ancillary equipment on designated routes to collect waste or recyclables.
• Open containers, back up and dump loads as required.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections and document vehicle condition.
• Interact courteously with customers and report issues to supervision.
• Maintain route logs and ensure safety procedures are followed.
