Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a CDL-equipped driver for residential waste collection in Clinton, IL.

You will operate side-load and/or rear-load trucks, load materials, and perform inspections while adhering to safety protocols. The role requires at least one year of driving experience or a CDL school certificate, strong safety awareness, and the ability to communicate clearly with team members and customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Ability to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment.
• Must meet safety-sensitive criteria per company standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection trucks on assigned routes.
• Load waste/recyclables into the vehicle and ensure proper containment.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required reports.
• Maintain route quality and comply with safety standards and regulations.
• Communicate vehicle issues to supervisor/mechanic and assist with routing improvements.
