Job summary

UNITED TRANSPORT in Hammond, IN is hiring a CDL Driver Recruiter to support growth through lead generation, candidate engagement, and ongoing driver communication. This in-person role focuses on educating prospects about the company and moving them through the recruitment workflow.

You will build relationships with prospects, maintain knowledge of company policies across Operations, Safety, HR, Maintenance, and Payroll, and contribute to driver retention through consistent engagement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with some secondary education or experience in business, accounting, or a related field.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Proactively source active and passive CDL Driver candidates, using referrals, walk-ins, rehires, networking, internal databases, and research tactics.
• Engage with the industry and prospects across online platforms to generate qualified leads.
• Manage and process all new leads through the recruitment workflow.
• Develop and maintain relationships with prospects to cultivate interest and move candidates toward hire.
• Assist with driver retention by supporting engagement and communication with drivers.
• Maintain current knowledge of company policies and procedures, with particular focus on Operations, Safety, Human Resources, Maintenance, and Payroll.
