The Cox Group in Mount Vernon, IN is seeking a motivated Driver Recruiter to source, screen, and onboard qualified CDL Class A drivers to support our transportation operations. This role thrives in a fast-paced environment and focuses on building a pipeline of top talent.

You will manage the full-cycle recruiting process, ensuring DOT compliance and collaborating with operations to meet hiring timelines while maintaining ATS metrics and driving results.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recruiting experience in logistics or transportation.
• Strong understanding of CDL requirements and DOT compliance standards.
• Experience with applicant tracking systems and online recruiting platforms (Indeed, etc.).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple openings and meet hiring deadlines.
• Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Source and recruit qualified CDL Class A drivers using job boards, social media, referrals, and networking.
• Conduct phone screens and interviews to evaluate driver qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
• Manage full-cycle recruiting process: sourcing screening offer onboarding.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, background checks, and driver qualification files.
• Partner with operations and fleet leadership to understand hiring needs and timelines.
• Maintain applicant tracking system (ATS) and recruitment metrics.
• Coordinate orientation schedules and onboarding for new hires.
• Attend job fairs, hiring events, and community outreach initiatives.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of active and passive driver candidates.
