Job summary

PODS Enterprises, LLC is seeking a CDL Class B delivery driver in the United States, Missouri area to load and unload containers at customer sites using a lift mechanism. You will conduct daily vehicle inspections, operate forklifts or cranes as needed, and verify deliveries with a handheld computer.

Responsibilities include coordinating paperwork, communicating with supervisors, performing field repairs, and assisting storage center operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CDL Class B License with no air brake restriction.
• Must maintain a current/valid driver license.
• Must meet PODS Driver Qualification Standards.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate or ability to obtain (DOT requirement).
• Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software preferred.
• Possess math skills sufficient to perform required duties.
• Ability to attend required 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up containers at customer locations, ensuring safe and incident-free service.
• Perform and log daily pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicle and lift.
• Accept add-on deliveries as required to meet business needs.
• Use company handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation.
• Operate a forklift and/or an overhead crane.
• Clean and inspect containers for presentation before delivery to customers.
• Coordinate rental paperwork and payment with customers.
• Communicate with Driver Lead or Market Manager with questions or issues; prepare driver notes as needed.
• Perform repairs of containers and lifts in the field and at the storage center.
• Provide backup for storage center functions when needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of truck cab (inside and outside).
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Responsible for delivery and pickup of containers to and/or from customer locations; provide an effective and incident free delivery or pickup of a container while maintaining excellent rapport with the customer.

• Drive and operate a commercial truck with a patented lift mechanism to load and unload containers at customer sites in a safe manner by following all safety rules
• Perform and log daily pre and post trip inspections of commercial vehicle and lift
• Accept add-on deliveries as required to meet business needs
• Use company handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation
• Operate a forklift and/or an overhead crane
• Clean and inspect containers to ensure they are presentable for delivery to customer
• Coordinate rental paperwork and payment with the customer
• Communicate with the Driver Lead or Market Manager on customer questions and/or issues; Prepare driver notes as needed
• Perform repairs of containers and lifts in the field and at the storage center
• Provide backup for storage center functions when needed
• Maintain cleanliness of truck cab (keep free from debris inside and outside)
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Pay Rate: $25.50 per hour

Sign on Bonus $2,500.00

• Pay Range: 25.50-25.50 per_hour

Job Qualifications: Education & Experience Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid CDL Class B License Required without air brake restriction
• Must maintain a current/valid driver license
• Must meet PODS Driver Qualification Standards
• Must be at least 21 years of age (insurance requirement)
• Possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate or ability to obtain a minimum of a 1 year certification (DOT requirement)
• Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software preferred
• Possess math skills sufficient to perform required duties
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience
• Ability to attend required 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program
