Job summary

PODS Enterprises, LLC is seeking a professional driver responsible for delivery and pickup of containers to customer locations, ensuring safe and incident-free service while building strong rapport with customers.

The role requires a valid CDL Class B license, clean driving record, DOT Medical Certificate, and willingness to train in lift operations; on-the-job training is provided. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available along with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CDL Class B License without air brake restriction.
• Must maintain a current/valid driver license.
• Meet PODS Driver Qualification Standards.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate or ability to obtain 1-year cert.
• Experience with electronic equipment and software preferred.
• Math skills sufficient to perform duties.
• Able to attend 2-week New Hire Driver Training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pickup containers to customer locations with safe, incident-free service.
• Load/unload containers using a patented lift mechanism.
• Perform daily pre/post trip vehicle inspections.
• Log inspections and handle add-on deliveries as needed.
• Use handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation.
• Operate forklift and/or overhead crane as required.
• Coordinate rental paperwork and payment with customers.
• Maintain truck and container cleanliness and report issues.
• Provide backup for storage center functions when needed.

Pay Rate: Minimum $20.50 per hour Maximum $21.00 per hour

Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, geography, and balancing internal equity. A reasonable estimate of the current wage range is listed below.

Job Summary

Responsible for delivery and pickup of containers to and/or from customer locations; provide an effective and incident free delivery or pickup of a container while maintaining excellent rapport with the customer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a commercial truck with a patented lift mechanism to load and unload containers at customer sites in a safe manner by following all safety rules
• Perform and log daily pre and post trip inspections of commercial vehicle and lift
• Accept add-on deliveries as required to meet business needs
• Use company handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation
• Operate a forklift and/or an overhead crane
• Clean and inspect containers to ensure they are presentable for delivery to customer
• Coordinate rental paperwork and payment with the customer
• Communicate with the Driver Lead or Market Manager on customer questions and/or issues; Prepare driver notes as needed
• Perform repairs of containers and lifts in the field and at the storage center
• Provide backup for storage center functions when needed
• Maintain cleanliness of truck cab (keep free from debris inside and outside)
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Pay Range: 20.50-21.00 per_hour

Job Qualifications
