Job summary

PODS in Reno, Nevada is seeking a responsible Driver to deliver and pick up containers at customer locations, ensuring a safe and incident-free experience while maintaining excellent rapport with customers.

The ideal candidate must have a high school diploma, a valid CDL Class B license, and at least 21 years of age. A competitive pay rate is offered with additional bonuses and benefits for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age due to insurance requirements.
• Must hold a current valid driver license.
• Ability to attend a required 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up containers while ensuring safety and excellent customer rapport.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections of the commercial vehicle.
• Use company handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation.

Skills

Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software

Math skills sufficient to perform required duties

Education

Valid CDL Class B license without air brake restriction

Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate or ability to obtain a minimum 1-year certification

Job description

Pay Rate: Minimum $26.50/hr — Maximum $27.00/hr
Sign On Bonus: $1,000 (available)

Compensation

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our company's size and industry and are one part of the total compensation package that also includes incentives, benefits, and other opportunities at PODS. Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on qualifications, experience level, skillset, geography, and internal equity.

Job Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience with electronic equipment and software preferred
• Math skills sufficient to perform required duties
• Equivalent combination of education, training or experience

Job Summary

Responsible for delivery and pickup of containers to and/from customer locations; provide an incident‑free delivery or pickup while maintaining excellent rapport with the customer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a commercial truck with a patented lift mechanism to load and unload containers at customer sites safely, following all safety rules.
• Perform and log daily pre‑ and post‑trip inspections of the commercial vehicle and lift.
• Accept add‑on deliveries as required to meet business needs.
• Use company handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation.
• Operate a forklift and/or an overhead crane.
• Clean and inspect containers to ensure they are presentable for delivery to the customer.
• Coordinate rental paperwork and payment with the customer.
• Communicate with the Driver Lead or Market Manager on customer questions or issues; prepare driver notes as needed.
• Perform repairs of containers and lifts in the field and at the storage center.
• Provide backup for storage center functions when needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of the truck cab, keeping it free from debris inside and outside.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Management & Supervisory Responsibilities

• Reports to Management. Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include: Market Manager, Territory Manager.
• Job is not directly responsible for managing other employees (hiring, termination, pay decisions, performance management).
