Job summary

PODS in Goodlettsville, TN is hiring a driver to deliver and pickup containers, ensuring incident‑free service and excellent customer rapport.

You will operate a commercial truck with a lift, perform safety inspections, and coordinate paperwork with customers while supporting storage center functions as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CDL Class B license without air-brake restriction.
• Must maintain a current/valid driver license.
• Must meet PODS Driver Qualification Standards.
• Must be at least 21 years of age (insurance requirement).
• Possess a Medical Examiner's Certificate or ability to obtain 1-year certification (DOT requirement).
• Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software preferred.
• Possess math skills sufficient to perform required duties.
• Equivalency of education/training/experience accepted.
• Attend required 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a commercial truck with a lift to load/unload containers safely.
• Log daily pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and lift.
• Accept add-on deliveries as required to meet business needs.
• Use handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation.
• Operate a forklift and/or overhead crane.
• Clean and inspect containers for delivery readiness.
• Coordinate rental paperwork and payment with customers.
• Communicate with Driver Lead or Market Manager about questions or issues; prepare driver notes as needed.
• Perform repairs of containers and lifts in the field and at the storage center.
• Provide backup for storage center functions when needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of the truck cab (interior and exterior).
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Responsible for delivery and pickup of containers to and/or from customer locations; provide an effective and incident‑free delivery or pickup of a container while maintaining excellent rapport with the customer.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a commercial truck with a patented lift mechanism to load and unload containers at customer sites safely, following all safety rules.
• Perform and log daily pre‑ and post‑trip inspections of the commercial vehicle and lift.
• Accept add‑on deliveries as required to meet business needs.
• Use company handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation.
• Operate a forklift and/or an overhead crane.
• Clean and inspect containers to ensure they are presentable for delivery to customers.
• Coordinate rental paperwork and payment with the customer.
• Communicate with the Driver Lead or Market Manager on customer questions and/or issues; prepare driver notes as needed.
• Perform repairs of containers and lifts in the field and at the storage center.
• Provide backup for storage center functions when needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of the truck cab (keep free from debris inside and outside).
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Management & Supervisory Responsibilities

• Typically reports to management. Direct supervisor job titles typically include: Market Manager, Territory Manager.
• Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management).

Pay Rate

Minimum $26.00 per hour - Maximum $26.50 per hour

Sign on Bonus: $3,000
