Job summary

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with double/triple endorsements and hazmat/tank endorsements.
• 1 year driving experience or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Acceptable MVR per hiring standards and valid DOT qualifications.
• Knowledge of DOT FMC regulations and safety procedures.
• LCV qualifications apply in specified states.
• Basic math, writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations including doubles/triples as applicable.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and convertor dollies as needed.
• Handle freight with equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps and ropes.
• Complete required documentation and reports accurately.
• Comply with hazmat rules and DOT procedures.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers for pickups, deliveries and opportunities.
