FedEx Freight is seeking qualified CDL-A drivers and a driver development coordinator role to enhance pre-qualified employee progression toward CDL qualification. The position involves city driving, safety inspections, and coordinating training activities for driver development programs.

Responsibilities include conducting road tests, following Smith System driving guidelines, and maintaining compliance with DOT regulations.

Formación

• Must possess a class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with double/triple, hazardous materials, and tank endorsements.
• Must possess two (2) years' verifiable experience within the previous three (3) years' operating a Class A CMV.
• Must possess acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) based on hiring standards.
• Must meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulatory requirements under section 391 of the FMC regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Operate tractor-trailer combination (including doubles/triples) and/or straight trucks.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies to/from a tractor and/or trailer.
• Secure freight inside trailers and handle freight with pallet jacks and related equipment.
• Complete required documentation and reports and communicate with dispatch and customers.
• Assist in driver development training and certification activities.
• Drive under various weather and road conditions while adhering to safety rules.
