FedEx Freight, Inc. in Rockford, IL is seeking a Driver Development Coordinator to train and advance pre-qualified employees into CDL drivers while boosting morale and retention.

You will lead classroom and field instruction, coordinate schedules, conduct road tests, and ensure compliance with DOT and company policies. Responsibilities include coordinating with dispatch and operations, delivering safety and Smith System training, and identifying new opportunities by engaging customers for

Formación

• Must possess a class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat, and tank endorsements.
• Two years’ verifiable experience in the previous three years operating a Class A CMV.
• Must have acceptable MVR according to hiring standards.
• Must meet DOT 391 FMC regulations.
• Ability to count and perform basic math.

Responsabilidades

• Operate tractor-trailer and doubles/triples as applicable.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and safety checks.
• Hook/unhook trailers and dolly from tractors/trailers.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps and rope.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers to coordinate pick-ups/deliveries.
• Conduct road tests and apply Smith System safe driving guidelines.
• Coordinate scheduling and deliver driver development training.
• Comply with all applicable laws/regulations and company policies.
