Job summary

FedEx Freight is looking for a tractor-trailer operator to join our team in Ohio. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, hook/unhook trailers and manage freight using forklifts and pallet jacks to support on-time deliveries.

Candidates must hold a Class A CDL (or CLP) and meet DOT regulatory requirements. Strong math and communication skills are essential, with occasional road or dock duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must possess a CDL/CLP prior to entering job classification.
• Must meet DOT regulatory requirements under FMC regulations.
• Ability to count and perform basic math; good written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer including doubles/straight trucks.
• Perform pre-trip, post-trip, inter-trip safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Handle freight with forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps and ropes.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
