Qualifications

• CDL Class A or CLP required before entering the job classification.
• Must meet Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) standards.
• Must comply with DOT regulations under FMC rules.
• Ability to count and perform basic math.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds repeatedly.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, and climb in a truck.
• Demonstrates safety awareness and training compliance.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and straight trucks.
• Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and inter-trip safety inspections.
• Hook and unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Handle freight with motorized and manual equipment (forklift, pallet jack, hand truck).
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, and rope.
• Document and report required information accurately.
• Communicate with Dispatch about delays, arrivals, or equipment issues.
• Provide internal and external customer service.
• Assist with road driver or freight handling duties as needed.
