Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. in Salt Lake City is seeking a driver to operate a tractor-trailer and perform non-driving duties such as forklift operation and dock work. Starting pay is $25.64 per hour and varies with experience.

You will conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, load freight, secure cargo, and maintain accurate paperwork. A valid CDL A and clean MVR are required, with DOT compliance and a willingness to work varied hours.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A or CLP required before entering job classification.
• MVR must meet company standards.
• Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and safety rules is required.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 100 pounds repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer and perform safety inspections (pre-trip/post-trip).
• Hook/unhook trailers and dollies to/from tractors.
• Move freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps, and ropes.
• Complete required documentation and reports; communicate with Dispatch.
