Qualifications

• Possess a class A CDL or CDL learner permit (CLP) prior to job entry.
• Have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) per hiring standards.
• Meet DOT regulatory requirements under FMC regulations, 391.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds several times daily.
• Ability to sit, bend, twist, and climb in/out of trucks.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles/straight trucks.
• Perform pre-/post-trip and inter-trip safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and attach/detach dolly units.
• Handle freight with forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Secure freight using pallets, straps, and ropes.
• Recoup or repair damaged freight as needed.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
