Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a professional driver to operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and straight trucks, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance. The role supports dock operations and forklift tasks as part of daily duties.

Qualified candidates must hold a Class A CDL or CLP, maintain a good MVR, and meet DOT requirements. Strong math, communication, and teamwork skills are essential for successful performance in this role.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class A CDL or commercial learning permit (CLP).
• Basic written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physical duties.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer including doubles and/or straight trucks.
• Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections and documentation.
• Hook/unhook trailers and convertor dollies.
• Perform freight handling using forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps, and rope.
• Comply with DOT regulations and hazmat procedures as required.
• Communicate with Dispatch and customers; assist sales with new opportunities.
• May perform road driver or freight handler duties as needed.
