Job summary

Qualifications

Must possess a Class A CDL or a commercial learning permit (CLP).
Must meet DOT regulatory requirements and have acceptable MVR.
Ability to count and perform basic math; good written and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

Operate tractor-trailer including doubles and straight trucks.
Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and inter-trip safety inspections.
Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
Maintain accurate daily logs.
Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
Communicate with Dispatch regarding delays, arrivals, or equipment problems.
Comply with hazmat regulations and placarding as required.
Provide internal and external customer service.
Occasionally perform city driver or freight handler duties.
Operate forklift and pallet jack as needed.
