Job summary

Austin Powder Company is seeking a CDL Class B Driver/Operator to transport and deliver bulk products and support on-site operations. You will operate mobile manufacturing units, load and unload materials, and maintain safe driving records while complying with explosive regulations.

The role involves outdoor work in varied weather, manual labor, and strong attention to inventory and safety procedures at the home base and customer sites.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B license with clean driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs regularly.
• Must read and interpret gauges and regulate to standards.
• Maintain accurate logs of daily operations.
• Hazmat, tanker, and air brake endorsements preferred.
• ATF explosive possessor status required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains/operates vehicles and equipment in a safe, professional manner.
• Driving time 20–30% with labor tasks using hand tools outside.
• Coordinate and handle mechanicals to deliver emulsion.
• Picks up and transports goods, inventory, hazardous materials, and other cargo.
• Keep driving logs, verify contents against manifest, track hours.
• Load/unload and transport materials, overhead bin loading with fall protection.
• Operate MMUs onsite at customer locations to create bulk products.
• Master operation of Austin Powder bulk equipment to ensure product quality.
• Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Comply with regulatory requirements for bulk and packaged explosives.
• Operate mobile manufacturing equipment with precise chemical control.
• Hands-on operation and maintenance of the location and sites.
• Other duties as assigned.
