Job summary

160 Driving Academy is the largest CDL training school in the country, with 14 years of operation and 90+ yards across 32 states, training roughly 20,000 students a year with an 88% first-time pass rate. As a CDL Class A Instructor Trainer, you teach students from pre-trip inspection to the day they pass the CDL exam — in the yard, and behind the wheel.

You will be based at a designated yard, working alongside a team of instructors and a Lead Instructor.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license required.
• Proven experience teaching CDL or equivalent training.
• Ability to live the training values of safety and student outcome focus.

Responsibilities

• Teach Class A driving skills in yard/outdoors training environments.
• Guide students through pre-trip inspections, maneuvers, and on-road driving.
• Prepare students to pass CDL testing on first attempt.
• Track attendance and progress; provide extra support as needed.
• Maintain training records and documentation.
• Report incidents to lead and corporate in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with Lead Instructor to deliver consistent student experience.
