160 Driving Academy is the country’s largest CDL training school with 90+ yards across 32 states. You will teach students from pre-trip inspections to passing the CDL exam, working with a team of instructors and a Lead Instructor.

Local yard duties include light upkeep and occasional coverage at other regional yards. Expect a 90-day probationary period, a structured schedule, and a path from Yard Instructor to Regional Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching CDL concepts and behind-the-wheel training.
• Ability to train students from pre-trip inspection to CDL exam pass.
• Reliable, punctual and focused on safety and curriculum adherence.

Responsibilities

• Teach Class A driving skills in outdoor yards using automatic and manual transmissions.
• Guide students through pre-trip inspections, yard maneuvers, and on-road driving.
• Prepare students to pass CDL testing standards on the first attempt.
• Track student attendance and progress; provide additional support as needed.
• Maintain accurate training records, evaluations, and documentation.
• Cover for other instructors at nearby regional yards when needed.
