FedEx Freight is seeking a Class A CDL driver to pick up and deliver freight between service centers and customers in the Duncan, SC area. Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, securing freight, handling with forklift or pallet jack, and maintaining accurate documentation while supporting the selling process.

Starting pay is $32.20 per hour with opportunities to earn overtime and grow within the FedEx Freight driver organization.

Formación

• Class A CDL with doubles/triples and hazmat/tank endorsements; automatic transmission restriction allowed.
• 1 year of experience in past 3 years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Valid Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) meeting hiring standards.
• DOT FMC regulations compliance (39 CFR 391).
• Long combination vehicles (LCV) qualifications required for certain states (AZ, CO, FL, ID, IN, KS, MT, ND, NV, OH, OK, OR, SD, UT).
• Ability to count, basic math, and strong written/verbal communication.

Responsabilidades

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations (including doubles/triples where applicable) and straight trucks.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections of equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies as needed.
• Freight handling using equipment such as forklift, pallet jack and hand truck.
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps, and rope.
• Complete required documentation and reports; communicate with dispatch and customers.
• Assist with sales by soliciting additional business and providing leads.
