Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking a Support CDL Driver to fill in on open routes, supporting daily deliveries. The role requires flexibility to cover varying routes and schedules while upholding safety, service, and delivery standards.

Starting wage is $24.00–$28.00 per hour, with OT after 40 hours. Qualifications include a valid CDL Class A or company-paid training, ability to pass a DOT physical, and 21+ years of age.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid CDL Class A license or completion of company-paid CDL training program.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Cover open, vacant or temporarily unassigned route based on business needs.
• Assist drivers with daily morning duties such as sorting freight and loading trucks.
• Deliver and pick up freight from customers and shippers in a timely manner.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Collect payments as needed.
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of any problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional appearance and vehicle cleanliness.
• Participate in weekly meetings and communicate goals and assignments.
• Travel may be required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
