Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking a Support CDL Driver to fill in on open routes and support daily delivery operations. The role requires flexibility to cover varying routes and schedules while upholding safety, service, and delivery standards.

Starting wage is $24.00 to $28.00 per hour based on experience, with 10-15 hours of overtime expected weekly and paid overtime after 40 hours. Voluntary OT on weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CDL Class A license required or company-paid CDL training available.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical.
• Able to lift 50 pounds regularly up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission; doubles/triples endorsement required or able to obtain.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Cover open, vacant or temporarily unassigned routes based on business needs.
• Assist drivers with daily morning duties (sorting freight, loading trucks).
• Deliver and pick up freight from customers and shippers in a timely manner.
• Inspect and report mechanical problems with the vehicle; maintain professional appearance and vehicle cleanliness.
• Travel may be required and participate in weekly meetings to communicate goals.
