Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking a Support CDL Driver to fill in on open routes and support daily delivery operations. The position requires flexibility to cover varying routes while upholding safety and service standards.

The role offers a starting wage of $24.00 to $28.00 per hour based on experience, with overtime paid at time and a half after 40 hours. Candidates must be 21+ with a valid CDL Class A or complete company training.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to operate a manual transmission.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a doubles/triples endorsement.
• Must possess good customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Cover open, vacant or temporarily unassigned routes based on business needs.
• Assist drivers with daily morning duties such as sorting freight and loading trucks.
• Deliver and pick up freight from customers and shippers in a timely manner.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Collect payments as needed and verify pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of problems or discrepancies and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
