Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service is seeking a Support CDL Driver to fill in on open routes, supporting daily delivery operations with flexibility for varying schedules. The role requires safety and service standards, and involves travel as needed.

The position offers a starting wage of $24.00–$28.00 per hour, with overtime at time and a half after 40 hours. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for CDL Class-A drivers.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a manual transmission.
• Must possess or have the ability to obtain a doubles/triples endorsement.
• Must possess good customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Cover open, vacant or temporarily unassigned route based on business needs.
• Assist drivers with daily morning duties such as sorting freight, loading trucks and other duties as needed.
• Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Collect payments as needed.
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of any problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional personal appearance as well as cleanliness of vehicle.
• Participate in weekly meetings and communicate goals and assignments.
• Travel may be required.
• Perform other required duties as assigned.
