Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver- CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck on assigned routes and provide prompt, courteous waste removal services. You will conduct pre- and post-operation inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

The role requires a Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement and a commitment to safety. You will complete reports daily and interact professionally with customers and colleagues, contributing to reliable service delivery.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B or higher CDL with air brakes endorsement.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle.
• Safely operate the collection truck along assigned routes to service customers.
• Load refuse, operate the compactor, and dispose of material at the designated facility.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and colleagues daily.
• Tag unsatisfactory waste containers and monitor for unacceptable waste.
• Maintain vehicle readiness and minimize downtime; clean around the packer blade and body as needed.
• Complete route productivity sheets and required reports (VCRs, etc.).
• Adhere to safety policies and participate in the Company’s ReSOP program.
