Job summary

Republic Services is hiring a Driver- CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and provide prompt, courteous waste removal services. You will ensure vehicle compliance with safety standards and complete daily vehicle condition reports, while maintaining productivity on your route and delivering excellent customer service.

• Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections per policy.
• Safely operate the heavy truck on assigned routes to service customers.
• Load/unload waste and operate the compactor per safety policies.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and coworkers daily.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag as required.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable material and keep work area clean.
• Maintain vehicle readiness and clean packer blade after trips.
• Complete route/productivity sheets and required reports.
• Meet productivity standards for timely customer service.
• Follow all safety policies and participate in ReSOP program.
