Job summary

Austin Powder Company is seeking a CDL Class B Driver/Operator to safely transport and deliver bulk explosives and related products. You will operate mobile manufacturing units at customer sites and provide on-site labor support as part of the Location Manager's team.

The role requires driving and manual work, with early hours and outdoor conditions. Must hold valid CDL A or B and meet regulatory explosive requirements; Hazmat, tanker, and air brake endorsements are preferred.

Qualifications

Must be 21 years of age as required by the DOT.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Class A or Class B CDL license and clean driving record.
Ability to read and interpret gauges and regulate gauges to correct standards.
Ability to maintain accurate records of daily operations and safety checks.
Hazmat, tanker, and air brake endorsements are highly preferred.
Must meet ATF explosive possessor requirements.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain vehicles and equipment in a safe, professional manner.
Drive 20–30% of time; perform physical labor outside in various weather.
Transport goods, inventory, hazardous materials, and other cargo to destinations.
Maintain and verify logs; ensure loads match manifests and report hours.
Load/unload materials; follow fall protection when handling loads.
Operate mobile manufacturing units at customer sites to produce bulk products.
Complete pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs to Location Manager.
Comply with explosive regulations and company policies.
