Job summary

Austin Powder is seeking a CDL Class B Driver/Operator to safely transport and deliver our products, operate mobile manufacturing vehicles, and provide labor support at job sites from our home base. The Driver/Operator directly reports to the Location Manager.

Responsibilities include pre- and post-trip inspections, loading/unloading, maintaining logs, and complying with regulatory requirements while working outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A or B license with clean driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Ability to read and interpret gauges and regulate to standard.
• Maintain accurate daily operation records and safety checks.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving in the field.
• Hazmat, tanker, and air brake endorsements are highly preferred.
• ATF explosive possessor qualification required or to be achieved.
• Unrestricted for operating manual transmissions is a plus.
• Must be able to start work very early and work non-traditional hours.
• Detail-oriented with precise inventory record keeping.
• Able to perform unit conversion and math in all units.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain vehicles and equipment safely and professionally.
• Drive 20–30% of the time; perform physical labor with hand tools and shovels outdoors.
• Load, unload, and transport materials and supplies to destinations; verify loads vs. manifests.
• Maintain driving and delivery logs and report working hours.
• Inspect vehicles pre- and post-trip and report maintenance needs to Location Manager.
• Operate mobile manufacturing units at customer sites to produce bulk products.
• Comply with all safety, regulatory, and company policies for explosives delivery.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and read safety and maintenance documents.
