Job summary

Austin Powder in North Carolina is seeking a CDL Class B Driver/Operator to safely transport and deliver our bulk and packaged explosives. You will operate mobile manufacturing units onsite and assist with labor tasks at job sites, reporting to the Location Manager.

The role requires a valid Class A or B CDL, ability to work outdoors in all weather, and the capacity to lift around 50 lbs. Prior hazmat/ATF qualifications are preferred, and safety compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have CDL A or B and clean driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Must read and interpret gauges and regulate to standards.
• Maintain accurate records of daily operations and safety checks.
• Hazmat endorsement preferred and will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive vehicles safely; 20–30% of time driving, remainder in physical labor outdoors.
• Load, unload, and transport materials, supplies, and hazardous materials to destinations.
• Maintain driving and delivery logs; verify loads against manifests and track hours.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs to Location Manager.
