Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a motivated driver able to operate straight trucks and deliver freight to customers safely and on time. You will perform pre-trip inspections, secure loads, and communicate with dispatch throughout the day.

The role requires a CDL Class B with HazMat and Tank endorsements, at least one year of related driving experience, and a strong focus on service, safety, and accuracy in documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have valid CDL Class B with HazMat and Tank endorsements.
• One year experience in straight truck or similar vehicle within last 3 years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must be twenty-one (21) years old.
• Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must possess acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Ability to lift/carry up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to read route schedules and operate under DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate straight trucks.
• Meet delivery schedules with professional customer service.
• Secure freight using pallets, straps, and rope.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Communicate delays and problems to dispatch.
• Load, unload, or assist in loading the truck.
• Use forklift or pallet jack for freight handling.
• Complete paperwork and maintain records.
• Follow hazmat and safety regulations.
