FedEx Freight, Inc. in Buffalo, NY is seeking a qualified Freight Driver to pick up and deliver between service centers and customers in a professional, safe, and timely manner.

This role requires a Class B CDL with hazmat and tank endorsements, at least one year of straight-truck experience, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds. You will perform pre-trip inspections, secure freight, and maintain accurate paperwork.

Qualifications

• CDL-B with hazmat and tank endorsements required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in straight truck or similar vehicle.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must possess acceptable MVR based on hiring standards.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to read and understand route schedules.

Responsibilities

• Operate straight trucks.
• Meet delivery schedules with professional customer service.
• Secure freight using pallets, straps and rope.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Communicate delays and issues to dispatch.
• Load, unload, or assist in loading freight.
• Complete required paperwork and maintain records.
• Comply with DOT hazmat regulations.
