Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Yard Driver to move tractor trailers to and from loading docks, park trailers, and transport units for offsite maintenance as needed. You will work Sunday through Thursday, 7pm until finished, with a pay rate of $26–$30 per hour.

Responsibilities include safety checks, DOT-compliant operations, securing loads, paperwork handling, and maintaining a clean dock area. A CDL A and clean MVR are required.

Qualifications

• 12 months of tractor trailer experience.
• Internal candidates may be promoted with less than 6 months experience with good performance and driver training program requirements.
• Must be able to work the scheduled, assigned times and required overtime.
• Valid CDL A.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) for tractor/truck and trailer under DOT regulations, report safety issues and repairs.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines; report hazards.
• Safely move trailers to/from loading docks and designated parking areas.
• Handle and return paperwork related to offsite maintenance/inspections.
• Ensure tractor/trailer and freight are secured at all times.
• Perform general housekeeping in tractor/loading dock area; keep trailers clean.
• Secure equipment and complete paperwork at end of shift.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
